Few months after the first Android phone demo, the first Android powered smartphone finally comes to France.

It's Orange (a french major wireless service provider) who is selling the HTC Dream. SFR will soon enter the competition with an enhanced version of the HTC Dream, the HTC Magic.

Android is a huge challenge for its creators (Google being the main) : some other great competitors have been there for a while, namely Apple with the iPhone, Microsoft with Windows Mobile and Rim with the BlackBerry.

Android represent a new opportunity for mobile phone application development and the creation of new smartphone usage in a world where every user is connected everywhere and all the time.
